I really love a good YA Fantasy novel that takes a reader in and makes the magic realistic, but equally takes you on a journey through the emotions of the main characters. Davies doesn't disappoint with the deep emotional insight she provides for the main character, a young teen named Dea facing a difficult time in her life. I loved the friendship that the book starts with between her and her best friend Ana, and the way the story pulls you in makes you feel like you're actually in the room with them sharing their experiences. There are many vampire books out there, but this one has a refreshing angle that I really enjoyed. Davies gives the reader rich details that help in understanding the "whys and "whats" of the dark side of the lore, and that makes it all the more enticing to read. There's a balance between action, suspense, and romance that I found very entertaining. Let me also say that Santi is amazing and the romantic aspect keeps you turning the pages. The ending takes you to the suspenseful edge of the next book and I'm definitely interested in finding out what happens next!

Meet Me at the Church

So for those of you that have read Simple, I thought that you would enjoy a little insight.  This is the actual church that inspired the "showdown" and it will be a featured aspect of the second book that is soon to be released.  So much to come...

It Has Begun....

When I finished writing "Simple," I honestly thought that was the end of the story.  I guess I thought wrong.

You see, I don't make those types of decisions.  My characters that live inside my head do, and apparently, Lee has a lot more to share with you.

So, for those who may be interested out there...it has begun.

Mender Cover Reveal!!

It's hard to believe this day is finally here!  I am so happy to share the cover reveal with you!

This is the final book in the Weaver Series, which concludes the story of nineteen-year-old Jo, a spirited girl from rural Arkansas with some very special abilities.

Reading Time

Now that Simple is released, I am enjoying a little break from my writing and indulging myself in some much needed reading time.  I'm reading Enter Ruinland by C.J. Anderson and although I've just started it, I'm loving it so far.  It's currently free on Amazon, so go snag a copy!


I also just finished reading Small Things by Joe DeRouen and if you love Stephen King-style spooky books, I highly recommend this one.  It's creepy, fun and the perfect read for a cold rainy day by the fire.

I'm hoping to release "The Menders" book 3 in the Weaver Series soon!  In the meantime, I'm taking a much needed vacation from writing and that means I am reading like a crazy lady.  While I am in between projects, I am planning to do some author interviews for some of my favorite reads so stay tuned for more on that.

Summer is nearing an end and I can't wait to light the fireplace and snuggle in with some great reads!
